1. A proven effective track record in youth ministry, preferably in a large church setting.
2. A proven track record of effective evangelism, especially among teens.
3. Be able to articulate age-appropriate discipleship objectives for teens, 9-12 grade. They must be able to demonstrate the ability to translate those objectives into programming towards the development of a solid, Biblically-based culture of discipleship.
4. Have a vision for and experience with special ministry to at-risk teens and their families.
5. Be able to attract and develop adult and teen leaders.
6. Have completed a minimum of a Bachelors Degree. A Masters of Divinity, graduate degree in ministry or in the area of psychological counseling or family and adolescent development would be beneficial.
7. Be an excellent communicator, especially to large groups of teens.
8. Be a self-starter and possess the vision and capacity to extend the reach of ministry to teens and their families.
