LEAD PASTOR -- CONSIDERATIONS & EXPECTATIONS
We are looking for a person who will lead our congregation in making disciples of Jesus Christ by:
1. Modeling Life-to-Life ministry
Study the cultural context & build relational bridges with pre-Christians
Form & develop discipleship relationships
Be accountable to mature believers inside & outside congregation
Enhance healthy communication within the congregation
Exhibit the following Personality traits:
Contagious enthusiasm for TRINITY and her vision.
Risk taker.
Self-motivated.
Willing to experiment.
Compassionate.
“Real” & personable, able to freely engage with others
Welcomes dialogue.
Listens well.
Organizational skills are essential.
2. Leading the team planning of worship that helps disciples celebrate life in Christ and draws seekers closer to discipleship commitments.
Serve as the lead communicator of God’s Word in public worship.
Worship events will inform, challenge and motivate the congregation to fulfilling the Great Commandment & Commission.
Creative in team development
Energetic to experiment with new ideas including the arts.
Vision for planning engaging worship affecting multiple learning styles and the senses.
Sensitive to all generations of worshipers
3. Leading a team of staff and lay leadership in a ministry process that results in reproducing followers of Jesus Christ.
Oversee evaluation, planning, goal-setting and execution of tasks in a cycle
Willing to honor traditions, as well as put them second to advancing disciple-making
Eager to explore ministry possibilities and to reach out to those skeptical or far from God.
This process will begin with, but not be limited to, existing structures government and ministry.
The goal is to produce living structures that will advance the making of disciples.
4. Honors and obeys the Bible as God’s inspired & infallible Word.
5. Demonstrates a godly lifestyle: in personal purity, in marriage and in family relationships.
